Let's Talk About Media

Judging by FOX news' reaction
to the first day of the Impeachment Hearings, the answer is a resounding "NO". The GOP and its propaganda machine cannot accept bad news. Declaring the day a disaster for Dems is not going to be a winning strategy. Schiff, the Dems in the room and the witnesses were clearly the adults in the room and the stewards for honest government.

I heard White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham say that "today was a joke." I heard Donald Trump Jr. say "it's insanity." I heard Jeff Sessions ask, "Where's the beef?"

Tucker Carlson said, "it was like Christmas and New Year's and the Super Bowl all put together."

Grisham called it a "joke" while others made jokes — Christian Whiton said witnesses Bill Taylor and George Kent, both veteran public servants with impressive resumes, "looked like people who sat by themselves at recess."

Hannity dubbed day one "THE WORST SHOW ON EARTH." He said the Democrats are "a national disgrace." He said they are guilty of "an abuse of their power."

Hardly anything could be more revealing at how bad they feel things are for the President. It will be interesting to revisit some of these quotes after a few weeks of testimony and if public opinion moves a few more points.

The first five hoaxes weren't enough for you were they?

You mean hoaxes like Benghazi, the birther stuff, etc? Is it a hoax that Trumps personal lawyer is currently in Pridon for crimes he confessed he committed with Trump? Is it a hoax that his campaig manager is currently in prison? Is it a hoax that Manafort shared internal polling data with a Russian who fled to Russia before he could be questioned?

How do you feel about media on the biggest cable news station in the country canceling guests because they dont support war with Iran?

Just a propaganda channel

A journalist defines the word imminent to him

But we already know it was a lie to cover up him to secure votes in the senate for his impeachment trial

The irony of the largest news company in the country being full of Trump defenders who constantly whine the media isnt reporting the news correctly always gets to me. They have the biggest platform in media and use it to complain the media isnt doing its job right..... instead of doing the job they claim the media refuses to do. They have how many primetime opinion hosts who spend their entire show peddling propaganda for the President?

You do know that the prime time hosts on the cable news networks are Opinion people and not true hard news reporters like they use during the day? Sam Shepard ****ted on Trump 24/7 when he was the afternoon guy on Fox News.

And what happened to Shep?? My problem with this whole thing is Fox claims to be NEWS until somebody calls them on their BS, then they're like, did we really say news? We meant news and opinion.

For my 2 cents worth, just lump all of them together and dump on them ALL 24/7. I'll even join in.

You mean they do actual news when people are at work and no one is watching? Theres opinion hosts and then theres propoganda hosts. Theres having a bias and taking a side and then there is just being outright dishonest as the Fox "opinion" hosts are. I have seen a lot of Chris Cuomo over the last 2 years and he has been fantastic.
