Let's Talk About Media

They need to have mandatory sentences for people that make up and lie about hate crimes.

Not just specifically hate crimes. People need to be held accountable for making false claims against people. If police had arrested a person on suspicion of the being the person who attacked him Smollet should be charged with everything that harmed that person. False arrest should bring kidnapping charges. Forced to undergo a strip search? Thats sexual assault. I dont understand how we consider human trafficking such a traumatic thing but being human trafficked by the state is somehow not traumatic. I understand police sometimes get bad info, I dont blame them in that situation generally, I blame the person who lied. You walk down the street and someone calls 911 saying your suspicious but accuse you of no crime and all your rights go out the window. Is that how rights are supposed to work? At the least if someone makes a false claim about someone it should be logged so if the person calls 911 every week on anyone who walks passed their home the police know ahead of time that this person is a serial false accuser and that their claims dont justify violating someones rights. The open secret is police like it the way it is. Thats why they tell people to call them at the drop of a hat.

CNN trying to regain some credibility by pulling Wallace away from Fox

Good luck.

They have gone extreme anti trump because that’s all they have left they ran off normal viewers over the last few years.

They do seem to employ a lot of perverts though. Maybe Wallace has an illegal kink.

The left and kinky sex habits seem to go hand in hand. That’s why things like pizza gate were so heavily attack despite it likely being fake anyway.

Its going to be glorious when we take these social media oligarchs to task.

When the courts stop blocking investigation we will find out that Zuckerberg played a key roll in the 2020 election steal.

These little beta male losers are going to get whats coming to them.

I’ve read this like 20 times and maybe I’m missing some context, but how is this contradictory? Isn’t it saying that both things are protected opinions that are also subject to fact checks? I don’t know enough about this to offer an opinion on Stossel or whatever his argument is, but I don’t see how these two statements can’t coexist in a vacuum.

Legit not sure where to put this but that headline is amazing lol

I read a decent op ed from Douthat at NYT tonight. It was overly brief and lacking in detail, but the idea was for the moderate Dem Douthat to humanize the views of what he calls the New Right for the left wing NYT audience. The letter itself is worth reading if you have a bunch of spare time, but the comments provide a lot more insight. Whatever the term is for an echo chamber taken to an absolute extreme, it applies to that audience. The fact that so many of them seem to consider Douthat a MAGA Trumper is enlightening.

If Fox News hosts were that comfortable sending directions to the White House on January 6th,

how many other days did they puppet master?
