Liberty and payroll - quit crying

We have a payroll, deal with it.

I am tired of people saying, why can't we get such and such, or why can't we match such and such?

Well our owners are not into spending gazillions of dollars on a chance. Deal with it.

By crying in your post about paying people or payroll, you are crying over spilled milk. Liberty ain't changing nor ever will change and matter of fact, I doubt they would even sell the team. Their baseline is what they look for, if people want them gone, don't go to the games.

Crying about payroll will get you crickets from them, THEY DON'T CARE.

Support the team we're financially committed to, all you do is setting your self up with failure if you cry, bitch and moan about payroll or playing players is it NOT GOING TO CHANGE.

No, they don't care and I don't necessarily know that they should (we'll have to see how big a taxpayer chunk goes to the new stadium to determine whether they owe anything to the community).

But the ownership situation isn't ideal and doesn't do much to generate buzz among the fans.

I wouldn't have gone over three years on McCann and his signing with the Yankees is probably the force behind the anti-Liberty sentiment of the moment. I just think to compete going forward, investments are going to have to become wiser and I don't really trust the current brain trust in that department.

The new park is a way to address the financial situation. It's a trend in other sports, too, for the franchise to own real estate around the main arena/stadium/ballpark for other revenue sources.

Curious, power to do what? I have none nor want it. That is why I will not do YNOT or any other game on here.

People complain that we can't keep players or buy a player for 25 mil. It's not going to happen now or in the future. We are the Tampa Bay Rays of the NL. Coach them up and then see them leave for greener pastures. That is all I am saying.

We lost Hudson.

We will lose Heyward and Freeman, because our owners are looking at the bottom-line. No need for us to complain because voicing your opinion on here is not going to change their minds. You have other means of doing so.

Actually, I think it is just a matter of a few people pushing your buttons. The only reason people ever took issue with you (outside the normal back and forth between all of us) is because PD used you as a shield during the revolution. That **** is over and done with.
