Lol Texas

Read it again. He can be charged so much time because there was Hash involved. The state can weigh the brownies as a whole because the hash is a cooking oil. He's not being charged because of Pot it's hash, which still isn't fully legal in states that have legalized weed. Hash is Pot like whiskey is beer.

Realistically he won't do anymore than a year or two which he should do for hash. Even in states that have legalized pot he'd be in trouble.

It's absurd, but he also knew he was doing something illegal.

I don't like Marijuana or the thought of it being legal, but it also seems like we have bigger fish to fry. Slap him with a fine, but jail time for this kinda stuff is what overcrowds prisons.

USA has incarcerates its people more than any other country in the world... Land of the free!!!

Do we have more people that break laws than other countries? With no factual evidence, I'd have to wonder if the answer is yes. People don't appear to fear the consequences for their mistakes.

DUI's, too many of these happen.

How about

First offense, lose license for 10 years.
Second offense, life in prison
If someone dies in either of the first occurances, death penalty or send to the DPRK to be a slave.

I have no sympathy for that particular crime. You choose to drink, you choose to drive, you choose to die.

People need to fear the consequences.

Saw a sign like this in Singapore, and while I don't have drugs, I imagine it's good motivation to not. :snort:
