Lolita Express is finally arrested.

This is the dude who walked into the dressing room of beauty pageant contestants to ogle them and is on record as bragging about getting away with grabbing women by the pussy. Has not mattered to his supporters. What's a little human trafficking among friends.

As an aside I think there are more problematic things that arose from his association with John Casablancas. But that never seemed to gain any traction.

If Trump was implicated in the Epstein scandal in any real way, it would’ve been used against him prior to the election.
That is ridiculous logic worthy of only scorn and humiliation. Lets keep using this logic then. If there was any evidence any prominent Democrat did anything wrong with Epstein Trump would have used it during his first term. If any prominent Republicans were implicated you can bet Trump would have used it as leverage against them so the only ones we can be certain are not on the list are the ones who have feuded with Trump.

It should also be noted that the Epstein case was under active investigation during the Biden administration, including the Maxwell prosecution. I believe policy is to not share with the public materials pertaining to an active investigation. I'm not sure if the fact that her case is still going through the appeals process puts any constraints on what can be released.

Having said that, I think there is a compelling case to be made for releasing everything and letting the chips fall where they may.

Would you like to review the number of policies the Trump regime has broken in only half a year in office? Its a long list. You really think Trump would let any agencies policy would stop him from releasing dirt on his political enemies?

I'm just making a point that there are policies that exist for good reasons that preclude sharing information with the public during an active investigation. Not making any comment about whether this or the prior administration was doing a good job adhering to those policies. But I think your point is well taken!

ouch to his loyalists

He is not misunderestimating his supporters. Many of them are falling into line. He just needs to explain to them what idiots they are a few more times and they'll tuck their tails between their legs.

What you’re saying and what I’m saying aren’t actually incompatible. I don’t disagree Trump would’ve looked to damage a prominent (D) if he really had the goods. My best guess is there’s no there there, while remaining open to the possibility that the files are so damaging to prominent people on both sides of the aisle that we’re in a nuclear deterrence type situation .

There are also wealthy powerful people who contribute a lot of money to both sides. Insurance of a sort.

The billionaire investor Leon Black agreed to pay $62.5 million to the U.S. Virgin Islands in January to be released from any potential claims arising out of the territory’s three-year investigation into the sex trafficking operation of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to a copy of the settlement agreement.

The previously undisclosed settlement came after the Virgin Islands reached a $105 million deal in November with Mr. Epstein’s estate. The next month, the territory sued JPMorgan Chase in federal court over the bank’s 15-year relationship with Mr. Epstein, a registered sex offender who killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.

The Virgin Islands government produced its settlement agreement with Mr. Black in response to a public records request by The New York Times. In January, representatives of the two parties held a private mediation session to settle claims, according to another document reviewed by The Times. The $62.5 million settlement followed that session. Mr. Black agreed to pay in cash, according the settlement document.

Why has Leon Black escaped justice? It doesn't seem right he can just buy his way out of any sort of accountability.

The women bottom left were or would become the wives of Roman Abramovich and Rupert Murdoch. To Jared left is his brother. And to Leon's right is the wife of Jared's brother. The man in the white cap is David Geffen.
