Looking Ahead - The 2020 Offseason Thread

Preemptive crying is weak. As a veteran message board crybaby, I realize that crying should be for the actual games (even the ones in April and May).
Wow, I bow to such a powerful, know it all who believes opinions on a message board shouldn't be stated.

The Phillies have signed Tony Watson. Who knows how it turns out but Philly has done a fantastic job of plugging clear positions of need.

What % y'all put on Markakis and flowers getting deals before ST? If markakis is signed, what % you put on snit using markakis correctly?

Our bench sucks. Thank you.

What can/will AA do in the next week to correct the WEAK bench?? ST starts tomorrow with pitchers and catchers reporting. Gabe talks about Braves having essentially the same lineup as last year but speaks about short falls in bench strength, holes in relievers and even starting rotation questions.

Many questions arise about lack of "power bats" especially on bench and from the left side. Back up catcher remains a question as does a viable 3B. A lot of "hope" is put in Riley and there is doubt we see him fulfilling that hope.

I for one, am not convinced that the Braves can/will repeat as NL East winners with the probable roster that we are faced with currently because of the many questions that remain.

i bitch mostly about baby whiners. if you weren't a whiny baby i'd have nothing to bitch about.

So you single me out talking about a weak bench, when practically everyone else on this board has said the exact same thing, such as the post right above this one. Interesting.

I guess you're one of those dumbasses that either thinks we have a strong bench, or that a bench doesn't matter. Got it.

everyone knows the Braves bench is weak. there's not a single poster here who thinks otherwise, including myself. i've acknowledged that fact several times.
but you're crying over every player that signs elsewhere, and crying about the bench with every post. so i'm gonna make fun of your for it.

We have a team that is very close to being good enough to make it to the WS. The one area that is a glaring weakness is the bench. It is a shame that this has not been addressed. The Dodgers are a perfect example of the importance of a strong bench. I don't think talking about it is bring a crybaby, it's a fact that is very frustrating. Salmagundy just stated the exact same thing a couple posts up, yet you say nothing to him.
