Lowest team OBP in MLB next year?

In case you missed it, the Braves just traded away 2 of their best OBP threats by shipping out TLS and Heyward. The projected starting lineup will contain 2 guys that are good at getting on base (Freeman and JUp), 4 guys that will almost certainly have a sub-.300 OBP (BJ, CJ, CB, Simmons), and 2 guys that will be in the low .300s (Gattis and Goss).

Who is the world is going to bat 1-2 on this roster? Yuck!

We are going to be seeing a LOT of outs made at the plate next year, and a LOT of horrid OF defense...

In short, it's gonna be an ugly 2015 folks!!

did you really believe heyward's offense would be the difference assuming all of the players you've mentioned at the players in play on opening day?

please...

So you think replacing a 350 OBP hitter with a sub 300 OBP hitter will make the team score more runs? Please enlighten me.

Not to mention La Stellas 328 OBP with whatever garbage we will get to play 2nd. Braves had a 305 OBP in 2014. It will easily be below 300 in 2015.

That's one way to turn BJ into a legitimate option at the leadoff position.

I think this is a conspiracy by Hart to force me to do more work during the summer.

I hate losing LaStella more than Heyward, to be honest. Heyward wasn't gonna stay here anyway. Now, when he signs with the Yankees in a year, it won't be the fault of Braves leadership.

Hope he has a great 2015 season with the Cards, signs with the Yankees for 200 million plus and proceeds to go back to his usual offense for the remainder of the contract

His usual offense? You mean being an above average hitter? What a bust...

Above average hitters don't get 200 million dollar contracts, great hitters do, and he's far from a great hitter. Not saying he can't be, but the Braves can't afford to take that chance.
