Also have to consider that is home park is the most extreme hitters park in the minors. Kind of a weird split for him. The league is an extreme hitters league and his park tops the list, but :

Home- .242/.298/.596
Away- .300/.400/.571

Somehow has a much higher walk rate on the road

In some ballparks, but high desert is crazy high HR totals. I think the HR multiple is like 150

Yeah, it was a sharp move on both ends. Acquiring the talent, then trading it for a potential useful future piece. That it's a guy that seems to have legit power is the cherry on top.
 
i don't have ESPN Insider but Keith Law said this in the intro of his article

I'm not saying Dario Alvarez and Lucas Harrell can't help the Texas Rangers, but the Atlanta Braves just spun lead into gold with their acquisitions of these two guys and the subsequent deal for a somewhat tarnished former first-round pick with huge raw power in Travis Demeritte.

Sure they did. The number 1 comp; Delwyn Young is a lot like Demerrit. Though, no two players are alike. I wouldn't say every non top 100 in 1 in a million, but I think the strike out rate make him have less of a chance to make the majors. Though, I will say the power (depending on how it translates to lesser hitting environments) could give him more of a chance.

The optimistic thing is that, yes he has a rough strikeout rate... but it has slowly improved every year he's played in his young career.

The interesting thing with that list is so many of our young guys haven't made their way onto it yet; Maitan is there; but we have at least 5 other premium talents from this year (Soto, Severino, Gutierrez, Contreras and Pena) + Cruz/Pache; none of whom are even listed in our top-30 right now.

Minter/Wiegel will have to be added as well and Cumberland too. The system is just so deep.
