Do you think 50's head weighs as much as it does because he has been perpetually feeding off of the life force of all of us to sustain his immortality?

Wilbo! I forgot all about him.

I remember there was a Mets' fan that also passed away. He was a lot of fun. He was already helping Wilmer Flores and Jeurys Familia with their Hall of Fame induction speeches. Firm in his love for the Mets but not as abrasive as the standard Met fan.

I think the turn of me from single use burner troll, to optimist with fun, and thewupk from normal fan to full on troll. Nopatientia is an all time troll. I think Bill realized it was a BS ban (I think multiple people who wound up coming here said as much) but he wouldn't unban thewupk but let nopatientia live, I remember there being another troll account in between.

But yes Nopatientia was a classic. Great times.
 
I know a lot of the earlier posters on Scout/Fanhome were on the AJC online forums originally in the late 90s. There was a poster named Nocahoma who kind of got Fanhome started before Bill got on there and it became the Braves Show. Coming over from Access Atlanta we all called it Noc’s board. I haven’t seen him and forever.

The other guy who I remember from way back when who may still be lurking is Mike Adams. He was always a really smart baseball guy who was really the first person I remember talking about Bill James and advanced metrics. He was a good poster and early on he might have been the only person with that perspective who Shanks really liked.
 
Was Mike Adams one of the moderators? Agree, Coredor. Mike was a good guy and probably the first deep stats guy on the board. I think JCarbo lurks and sometimes posts on this board, but he was also one of the first adherents to deeper statistical analysis on the previous board and a regular poster. Hawk is another guy that was a regular poster there and I think he posted here as well, especially on the political board. Another solid poster.

Mike was one of the moderators at some point. He kind of did the non-premium board when Bill didn’t want anything to do with it because everyone was ok with him.Those guys you mentioned were good posters. I just remember Mike because he was talking about that stuff very early. I think I first encountered him about 1996.

Yeah a lot of the talk was about OBP being more important than BA and strikeouts were the same as other outs which is basically true but highly controversial at the time.

There were a lot of things that weren’t captured though like defensive metrics and Adam Dunn was an abysmal outfielder. He was a good player in his way but he kind of became a symbol of the stars movement because of how much he walked and struck out.
