NEWS: The inspector general for the USPS has agreed

to examine Louis DeJoy's changes to delivery, partly with

an eye toward looking at impact on mail ballot delivery,
@ewarren's offoce confirms. First reported by
@marshallcohen

. And not a moment too soon

Currently dealing with a pickle of needing to renew my driver’s license here in California, but I have a change of address which requires a field office visit, but they are not accepting field visits currently. As of last month my DL expired and I have no viable option to renew.

“Seems to function”

"seems to function" has been working to my advantage lately...it has greatly delayed my son getting his permit

name one efficient/well oiled machine bureaucracy ?

guess my point ws, why single out DMV or USPS.

Seems to function is high praise in that light
/////////////////////

DMV works smoother and more consumer friendly than say --- insurance claims departments.

Ever called Fed Ex about a lost package ?
and how satisfying was that experience ?

just remember in the end, " we all work for Milo"

NEW from
@USPS
: “We are suspending the removal of collection boxes at this time.

All postings on collection boxes will be removed, as we will no longer be pulling any boxes.”

meaning

They put up a posting to inform citizens of their intent

to remove a box. They’re stopping that process,

and stopping removal.

surely this is deserving of a Q type conspiracy theory...what can we call it? Blue Box? What's the difference between a blue box and a black box.

yesterday i saw the neighborhood pedophile putting a slice of pizza into the blue box...and today the blue box is gone...coincidence? I don't think so

No, it really isn’t at all

But hey

Look at you sticking up for it and not sticking up for something the founders thought highly enough to put in the constitution

I’m shocked by your stance lol

And you want them running Healthcare too, right?

on an administrative level?

as opposed to the for profit insurance bureaucracy -- a thousand times yes
/////

Makes me wonder your experience dealing with insurance claims and billing.
Co pays , limited and denied coverage. etc

M4A takes all of that out of the equation.
///

On a paper shuffling administrative / bureaucratic level, what is the difference ?
My experience is/has been none
A bureaucracy is a bureaucracy is a bureaucracy
//

In fact, as shown cases of conflict involving the VA, if there is a formidable roadblock, instead of having to hire a lawyer one has in place a duly elected representative

Previously a federally funded cabinet-level department, President Richard Nixon overhauled the Post Office in 1971, which created what we know today as the USPS. The move followed a wave of militancy by more than 200,000 clerks and carriers in 30 major cities who walked off the job for higher pay and collective bargaining rights. While postal unions did win bet*ter pay and bargaining rights, the reorganization was a double-edged sword. The 1971 federal legislation established the USPS as a new independent agency and required it to “pay for itself” — meaning the agency would receive no tax dollars and instead fund itself directly through the sale of its postage, products and services. As explained by Lawrence Swaim, former leader in the Postal Clerks Union, in a four-part series for In These Times in 1977:

seems to always come back to Nixon

I think we've solved the mystery already.

Judge in Pennsylvania asked Trump campaign to provide evidence of mail-in ballot fraud after it sued to prevent state from using drop boxes for mail voting

In 524 pages Trump campaign couldn't cite a single instance of mail-in voting fraud

I mean, freedom boy out here still saying it’s fake

Literally an attack on the election from a sitting president

In a world where its a fact trump went to pedo island and is best friends with epstein the above is irrelevant.

The left will just lie and lie because they know their idiot base will belive anything as long as it pushes their worldview of OMB

Why is it so hard to wait until after the election if this is not about obstructing the vote? I am as against government spending as much as anyone but 5 months before the election is not the time to dismantle the post office and certainly not when there is a plague thats killed hundreds of thousands of people. This is the problem with having a President with no credibility who is a pathological liar. We have to question literally everything because of that. Everything he does is about whats best for him personally.

Some of you will believe anything about Joe Biden. You know who the witnesses are against the Bidens in Ukraine? Prosecutors fired for corruption. But when it comes to Trump we have his lawyer, his national security advisor, staffers, his family, his friends, etc.
