So, what does this mean for Peraza's development as a CF?

Peraza will still occasionally see some time in CF, but Mallex Smith will get the majority of the playing time at that position

If we play Peraza a second at 3B, we are dumb. Play him at SS unless he's butchering balls like Chipper Jones in A ball. If not SS, then 2B
 
With the emergence of Jace, gotta figure Peraza is trade bait for a bat this winter.

And should be at 2B or SS.

Good for Mallex though.
 
There are pretty much only two good options for Peraza now - call him up to play 3B until the end of the year, with the expectation he will either be traded or moved back to 2B in the offseason, or move him back to SS to eventually trade him.

I guess you could also leave him at 2B and wait to see how Peterson finishes the year, but this is clearly an end to the Peraza-in-CF experiment, and I'm glad for that.
 
Another option is to see what yiu could get for Simmons. not saying I'd do that but it could be an option.

I love Andrelton, but defense usually peaks early so it could make sense to trade him while he's still young. I don't think we'll do it to make room for Peraza though, maybe Albies in a year or two.
