Mariners might be perfect trade parners

Braves want a reliever? They got a pretty good audition last week when Seattle came to town and swept them thanks to their bullpen.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, Seattle is looking at trade options to replace Erasmo Ramirez in their rotation. Rosenthal tweeted Wednesday that the Mariners are shopping for a starter, saying that a rival league executive informed him of their search.

The Mariners' only legitimate healthy option to supplant Ramirez is Brandon Maurer, who was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma after giving up five earned runs over four innings against the last-place Astros on May 29. Maurer is 1-4 with a 7.52 ERA this season.

Dominic Leone (2-0, 1.35) 31 Ks in 23 IP is a guy I'd target, maybe get a solid prospect in addtion for Harang (former Mariner) or Floyd (AL vet) or Minor (after last night!)

I guess you can never bet against stupidity, but why wouldn't they just wait the 2-3 weeks for Tujuan Walker to build up his arm?

I hope the Minor comment was in jest. Minor's xFIP is almost exactly the same as last year.

If the Braves trade Minor for a reliever I'm gonna call for Wren's retirement all the time.

Of course I was kidding about Minor. Should have put

in there.

I'd be down with this trade. I think the Mariners are a good partner. I mean, on Floyd's part, he's been in the AL for quite a while... he won't have to adjust.

Schlosser maybe? Or would they only target Floyd or Harang?

What do they have we would covet? Bp? Spects?

Harang was on the Mariners last year, can't see them giving up anything of value to get him back.
