Believing Gen 5:4 is just as dumb. Are you telling us you take that literally?

Let's deal first with your buying into the meme that made it sound as if the Bible taught there were no female daughters of Adam and Eve. Dang, beyond foisting an incredibly fundamentalist non-sequitur reading on the statements that they had three sons (Cain, Abel, and Seth) as if that meant that's the only children they had, all you had to do was read another chapter or two to read an explicit statement that reveals the dumbness of the meme.

Do you believe in a theory of human origins in which the original hominids only bore male sons and humanity arose from such?

Sure I believe Adam and Eve had sons and daughters and that the human race arose out of what we might call necessary "incestuous" relationships. Or if you prefer, I believe "Adam" and "Eve" had sons and daughters.

So let me get this straight. You believe there was an actual Adam and an actual Eve?

Sure. Who doesn't? "Man" and "Mother of all living" sound like fine names to me but I don't care what names you give them.

Now, if you'd kindly answer my question from earlier?

"Do you believe in a theory of human origins in which the original hominids only bore male sons and humanity arose from such?"
