Ehh. It was all just more piling on. The newspaper lady made a stupid comment. (Who doesn't have zip ties? They're nearly as useful as duct tape.) Now it's being assumed he was making excuses for Commando Joe having dozens of them on his hip in the Capitol.
He didn't. He just pointed out how out of touch Mrs. Liberal Newspaper Lady is with pretty much everyone.

There's a way to make a point. He failed. Also the human variety zip tie that Rambo wannabe had is not the same zip tie I use to hold wiring together.
He took a bad take and took it to the hoop without realizing he was dunking on himself. Which is par for the course for him. He's a smart guy, but he thinks he's smarter than everyone which always knocks you down several pegs.

Agree. Ben may be an ass but he isn't dumb. That's one of the dangers of politics. Republicans are right about some things, Democrats are right about some things but that's never enough, they want to be right all the time and they want you to tell them they're right about everything all the time. Every single thing has to be twisted to where it makes them political brownie points. It's like that one dumbass who was talking about how she watched (or claimed to have watched) the movie Black Panther and was asking about how she could somehow cash in on not liking the movie.
Right now it's Repubs getting their asses kicked and rightly so IMO, it'll be the Dems sooner or later. We need a healthy Republican Party and a healthy Democratic Party and we need them to work TOGETHER for the good of the nation and not only is that NOT happening now, we're getting the exact opposite from both, mainly right now from the Repubs. I wonder what truly ugly, profane things historians will call us 100 years from now, if we're still even around in 100 years.
