I have no idea what Paladino has to do with anything. He's not an entertainer. Kinda would be like if I brought up Biden's "clean & articulate" statement. Limbaugh's "Magic Negro" is just a parody of what Al Sharpton said one time. Hardly racist. I can't find anything about Rush's "halfrican" statement except from hard left wing sites. Anyhow, when did "halfrican" become a racist statement? I've heard biracial people call themselves that before. Hell, the other day I found out the word "oriental" is now racist. I swear I found it funny how libertarians are paranoid of the government and how liberals are paranoid over racism. However, Limbaugh did get in legitimate trouble one time calling that girl a slut. He apologized. I can't say the same about that slimeball Colbert.
Umm, it wouldn't have anything compared to Biden's comment, how is Biden saying something dumb and Bideny comparable to someone wishing death on people and saying of Michelle Obama "I’d like her to return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortable in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla" How could you even remotely compare the 2?
Also the MAgical Negro is a cinema term. It wasn't used by Al Sharpton, but by an LA Times writer to basically say that Obama was a clean vessel for white people to expunge some white guilt, and he seemed almost magical in the sense that he came from nowhere with all the answers. As far as why you'll see the Limbaugh comments only on left wing sites, that's easy to explain, because no conservative found it offensive and he said it on air. What's offensive isn't inherently the term, but Limbaugh's pejorative use of it.
"LIMBAUGH: Hey, Barack Obama has picked up another endorsement: Halfrican American actress Halle Berry. "As a Halfrican American, I am honored to have Ms. Berry's support, as well as the support of other Halfrican Americans," Obama said.
He didn't say it, but -- anyway, there are those out there -- greetings."
If you think that's OK, I'm sorry, but you're wrong. if that doesn't make you feel cringey, you are missing an empathy dial or something.
Also Oriental has been "racist" for a long time. ANd it's not really racist, it's dated and offensive more than racist.
