Yes, as long as you weigh in with your opinion about emotion emotion emotion and your expertised honed in the business factory about how much that issue affects the macro.

Since you mention it, the number of abortions performed and the abortion rate has been falling for the last couple of decades. Perhaps you'd like to argue that, as in the case of gun deaths, that's reason to not advocate for further change.

Seriously, dude, you can't take your half out of the middle.

Man I miss the days of rational Julio.

1. The point of that post was merely to point out the never ending hypocrisy of the leftist media - which many on here swear has no political bias

2. Abortions outnumber gun deaths 20:1 per year in this country. So if we want to prioritize things... one seems like a bigger cause of death and one also seems easier to solve

3. Abortions are legal. Shooting people isn't. I propose we make them both illegal.

Seriously dude, you can put up better arguments than this one

You won't get them ever to agree that a fetus counts as a person. Disgusts me personally, but we are never going to win on this. If people want to kill their kids then more power to them. I love how it's a women's rights issue and in large portions of the world they abort babies specifically for being female.

The numbers I've read are in the low 40's... but when you consider the growth in population, there are still more gun owners in the country than there were decades ago, despite the lower %.

But I'd be curious to know how the household data is compiled... my suspicion is that the numbers are skewed by urban areas - but not sure where to find those details

Here are the studies from which I got my info. Probably is some deviation due to under-reporting. There's likely some confusion on ownership v. access. Pew has 30% of Americans owning a gun, but that puts 42% of adults in a household where there is a gun (husbands, wives, roommates, adult children, etc.).

Pew Research from 2017: (1)http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2017/06/22/the-demographics-of-gun-ownership/ (2) http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...on-americans-views-of-guns-and-gun-ownership/

Axios (Politico's data site): https://www.axios.com/the-percentag...943-490b2051-3056-4020-ac55-0d091641d80f.html

Growth in type of weapon owned appears to be largely from increased ownership of handguns. Rifle sales remain pretty much constant. Number of hunters, sport shooters is down nationally.

As much as I disagree with them, I agree that it would be good for their marches to be thoroughly covered.

Why do you think they won't be?

(I agree with you that they won't be, but would like to know your reasoning for that belief.)

As I've said many times. The progressing left now pushes emotion into their arguments so rationale thought is not a main part of any policy discussions. If you don't agree it's because you are a heartless bastards that wants kids shot in schools and grandma's pushed over the edges of cliffs. You're a monster.

Nuts and bolts history is rather simple.

Who, what. when and where.

And like Casey said, " you can look it up"

But they didn't get a tax cut !!!

"When a gunman killed 20 first graders and six adults with an assault rifle at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, it rattled Newtown, Conn., and reverberated across the world. Since then, there have been at least 239 school shootings nationwide. In those episodes, 438 people were shot, 138 of whom ... "

That is why these kids are being revered. They stood up where in the past people expected those in power to do the right thing.

Good question, where was the march ?

Guessing people got sick and tired of being sick and tired
Slavery was around a long time before John Brown at Harpers Ferry
Workers were being exploited long before Joe Hill.

Jim Crow laws were in effect many years before the late 50's early 60's civil rights movement
239 school shootings from Dec 2012 to Feb 2018

239

maybe --- but what difference does it make ?
Today is today

Of course in 2013 Obama stuck his political neck out - Trump had to take notes to remind him to listen

So yeah, perhaps who is POTUS might make a difference.
People have been energized to change things - from the election on

You obviously blame them - I don't
I thought they should have organized after the 2013 Congressional repudiation

It would be nice if democrats would hold their leaders to the same standards as republicans...

and of course, vice versa

If only my party wasn't a bunch of unicorns
