ok, what other niche candidates would you compare him to that were treated like that. What was Trump if not a niche candidate? The general idea passed by the Hannitys of the world was that Republicans wouldnt unite behind him. Trump has clearly shown they are lemmings. Ron Paul had an amazing grass roots campaign, won many of the debate polls, out raised everyone in contributions from the military including Obama. I cant think of a single person with even half Rons support that the media just came right out and said pay no attention to this guy he isnt even worth covering. I bet if he had more warts in his background they would have covered that but other than the newsletters which is weak they had nothing to smear him with.

The "war on drugs" phrase is ironic coming from a society that promotes instant gratification and a drug for every ailment, real or imagined. There are plenty of drug pushers in the medical industry and on Madison Avenue. They implicitly promote illegal drugs and are every bit as guilty as some kid with a few doobies.

Your saying a 10 term congressman running for President is the equivalent of a comedian who from what I can tell ran a campaign to write his name in. Feels like comparing Obama to Buckwheat. Ron was polling neck and neck with Obama in Presedential polls while the media was saying to ignore him. Sarah Palins a serious candidate to thede people. Rick Sanrorum had a fraction of Pauls support and 100 times the media coverage. Was Paulsen ever even in a primary debate? Was his name ever on a ballot? Did he raise more money from active military than a sitting president?



I dont think you realize the size and passion Rons organization had. After 2008 they learned how the primary game was played and set out a genius strategy that would have won if it went to a second round of voting where the delegates were no longer bound to vote for a particular candidate. Many of those people were Ron Paul delegates chomping at the bit for that second round. Thats why many were replaced by the RNC. Some people called it cheating but it was within the rules. Quite frankly its downright disrespectful to all those damn people who fought very hard for a good candidate to call him a niche candidate. If they werent going to give him a fair shake they shouldnt have let him run in the first place. Pretending its fair then kneecapping a candidate thats within striking distance of winning was bull crap.

Yes, I've been wondering about that. Perhaps one reason he can so easily get access to these people is the lack of competent, smart people around them. But clearly, they are very dumb and gullible.
