Ooooh when was healthcare spending ever cut in this country?

Weren't taxes cut on nearly* all earners?

*some rich folks taxes went up due to the elimination of some tax itemizations being eliminated

It's so much fun reading posts from you when you have no clue what you're speaking of

Rubio voted to repeal ACA, which unequivocally meant cutting public subsidies for HC. Not sure what you’re on about here.

I'm so tired of 47 and idiots on Twitter saying how things were so much better when the "rich paid their fair share"

The reality we spend more money on literally everything than we ever have yet things seem to get more expensive.

Weird how that works.

True, but it does seem like there used to be more of the good stuff interspersed with the crappy things than we've seen in a while.

That's the result of a 24 hour news cycle in a day and age where it's cool to focus on the flaws.

I'm with cajun on this one, from slavery to the Civil War, Reconstruction, smallpox blankets, Teddy's Roughriders, seizure of the Philippines, chemical warfare, nuclear warfare, divvying up Europe with Stalin, Cold War chess, and Drone Wars, you can trace a solid line of nonstop awful things from the beginning of our nation to the present day.

The problem is that we no longer care to examine circumstances and determine which were awful choices and which were the best option out of several awful options.

On a related note, I learned today that Pluto is considered a planet again, and the soldiers who fought in the Alamo are no longer to be considered heroic. We live in interesting times.
