People will keep pretending the ccp hasn’t completely compromised America at all levels.

Babylon Bee does a great job in their way to show that.

I tried to read Atlas Shrugged to see what the deal was. It is such a poorly written novel. If it had been written as a short story thought experiment, it might have at least been thought provoking. Trying to read it is absolutely mind numbing though.

I liked it, but I read Rand’s novels in reverse chronological order, and IMO it’s less impressive next to her other novels. We the Living is probably the one I’d pick up if I was ever inclined to re-read one of her books.

At least you read it, though. Other than the Bible, I’m not sure of many books that have been criticized by more people who’ve never bothered to open it.

The long soliloquies and the insanely boring romance made that book so difficult to get though. I made it about 2/3 of the way and then just read a synopsis. I had the jist of what she was getting at by that point.

My main criticism of her premise is that she seems to think there are producers and there are parasites. That it's binary. I see society more like an ecosystem with most people being in a niche. Many people might seem to be a parasite in a vacuum but in reality they are simply filling a niche in the social/economic ecosystem. Things are too interconnected to judge people in a vacuum.
