Of course it's hilarious. The massive, real world deployment of the vaccine has shown it is extremely safe and does a very good job preventing severe illness. This gives it way more data than most drugs that get FDA approval.

Something working in the first six months is dramatically different than something working over multiple years of testing.

Just like people hammered Sweden early on lets not celebrate in the first inning. It still serves its purpose to protect the most at risk and thats great.
