Only way I could see a trade happening in the short term would be if it is in the very short term with a player going to a team who can send back a comp draft slot
So, it's getting time to look at bumping Cumberland up a level, right?

I'd promote him at the end of the first half. He's only been raking for three weeks. He's starting to show signs of being a decent hitting prospect, but I have no idea how he's doing behind the plate.
The other part of this is the catching situation in High A. Jonathan Morales is already there. Alex Jackson is on the DL but there was no indication that it was serious. Tanner Murphy is also there, but he's pretty much a non-prospect at this point.
So when Jackson is back, how would they split time behind the plate between Morales, Jackson and Cumberland?

I don't think Ventura's long for low-A.
As for "the big moves", I fully expect Johnson and Garcia to be traded within the next two weeks. If Coppy can find a dance partner, I don't think he keeps anybody looking for a "best offer" - if he hears something he likes, I think he pounces.
I keep struggling with how to value him. Seems like most of the prospect reports say he'll have to be a corner OF, and with pretty much zero power, I'm not sure how valuable he is.
As in he's unplayable in CF defensively or just not a starter? Sort of sounds like a fourth OF/pinch runner.
It was Longenhagen who said he thinks Ventura ends up in a corner. This is from his preseason Braves write up:
"his body has matured quickly and he’s probably going to be quite thick at peak, so I have him projected in right field."

There's got to be some value to a player who has the potential to hit over .300 and can steal 40+ bases.
Full disclosure, Cunberland's double was a bad reach at a ball away that landed just between the IF and OF. He's actually not looked good today.
