Michigan Militia Plotted To Kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, FBI Says

Six defendants have been charged in a kidnapping scheme targeting the Michigan Democrat, who came under fire from President Donald Trump.

A Michigan militia was plotting to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat who has come under fire from President Donald Trump, according to the FBI.

Defendants Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta were charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping, according to court documents.

In an affidavit, an FBI agent wrote that the bureau learned through social media in early 2020 that a group was “discussing the violent overthrow of certain government and law-enforcement components.” At a meeting in June, several members of the group “talked about murdering ‘tyrants” or ‘taking’ a sitting governor.”

The group used encrypted chats to discuss the plan, according to the FBI.

“Snatch and grab, man. Grab the ****in’ Governor. Just grab the bitch,” Fox allegedly wrote in one message when discussing kidnapping Whitmer at her vacation home or official summer residence.

I dont understand in what way they thought that would help their cause. I dont think "Democrat Governor kidnapped by Right Wing terrorists" is the right message to send to voters before election day.

Glad they were caught. They can and should vote her out. If she refuses to leave, then its time for more action.

But, let's be clear, her actions during covid have been extremely authroitarian. There are always going to be people that will push back on that.

She is by any measure of the word, a tyrant drunk on power. Thankfully, she hasn't directly killed anyone, but i guarantee her actions have indirectly killed someone (nursing homes an easy place to start)
 
A friendly reminder that there was an actual violent takeover of land this summer in Seattle... and it was celebrated by the left.

Multiple people were killed.

Unfortunately I fear this is just the beginning with the red hat crazy crowd. We haven't seen anything yet. We're damned if Trump wins because we can't take four more years of his mess. If he loses, and he will these crazies won't accept it so we are damned that way too.
 
Reading more into this... it appears "militia" is quite generously applied... and it seems militia members actually turned in the anarchists to the feds when approached for help

But don't let that stop your narrative.

I'm still confused why you weren't concerned about what took place in Seattle, which, ya know, actually killed people including a child
