Minor League Thread Part Deux

Hartman is overdue for a promotion at this point. There is nothing left to prove at A+. He's need the next challenge.

Same for Gil, who already spent some time in AA last year. I would have them both in AA by the end of the week. Southisene is also due for a promotion soon if he keeps this up.

I wouldn't rush em yet bc they won't make it to Atlanta till mid season next year anyways imo. Let em build some confidence but they will need to move up at some point soon.

Give them time. No rush at this point.

I don't think it's rushing them when they are playing this well. Tate for sure can use a little extra seasoning in A ball given he has such little professional experience. But Hartman just isn't being challenged right now. And Gil has already spent some time in AA.

I would be interested in a little more detail about the “pull happy swing” comment.

Pull happy is not usually a good thing. What do they mean by that?

While I would typically agree, it's not just that he's pull happy. He takes what he's given, but he'll drive the ball where he thinks he can do the most damage. If you're getting your pitch, you do something with it no matter where it's pitched. His approach is sound. He doesn't overly expand and that's why he'll wait until he wants his pitch and hit it. The heater he's on seems real and it's about as solid as I've seen across a few of the higher rated prospects.

Tate 3-5 with another homerun. That dude is legit. I'm gonna say that's our future SS. Let Kim walk after the season and bring Dubon back to bridge the gap.
His adjustments have been amazing from one year to the next. But I saw glimpses in ST. Raising his hand and more timing with his legs have helped him turn on the best fastballs. He's also tracking off-speed pitches. So much to like

It'd be nice to hit on a 1st round pick for a change.
