Minor league thread

Vodnik is killing it as a reliever, but why reliever?

I don't think he's shown the durability or the command to be a starter. Smaller guy, live arm with a big fastball. Let him air it out for an inning at a time and try to keep him healthy. Will be a useful weapon out of the pen.

Waters just homered. Man, if he can just do something about that hole in his bat.

With his speed, I think he will still hit around .250 -.260. But he's gonna have to get that walk rate up around 8-9% (higher preferably) if he wants to have a respectable OBP.

Really not sure why anyone thinks Waters is even a real prospect anymore

Wouldn't mind seeing Tromp up with Contreras getting everyday ABs in LF in Gwinnett for the next two weeks to see if he could potentially fit there long-term. When Tromp's bat goes ice cold Alex could go find another veteran backup.

Shuster's ERA down to 1.53 after six shutout IP (2 hits allowed) last night. Not sure how much longer he needs to be in Mississippi.

Folks are just desperate for any help in the OF, and when the system is bad fans tend to overrate the guys who are left. Remember when everyone thought Peraza was a real prospect just because he was the best in a poor system?

The Braves have 1 legit position prospect, and that’s it.
