I wouldnt trade Ian just to get off of Ozuna's contract. I can see AA move Ian this offseason though.

Why would he? Why sell low? He's still cheap. We've paid more for Soroka for less.
Maybe you can't count on him for a spot in the rotation, but you have to work him up and see if he can get back. He likely had results over his head early, but he is a guy who has stepped up in big time, playoff starts.
Wonder if a "challenge trade" for someone like T. J. Friedl is something Alex would consider this winter given Anderson's struggles. LH hitter that can play all 3 OF spots who has options left. He's always had solid BB/K rates, can run a bit, and has a little pop. He'd be what you hoped Waters would turn into if he would have still been here - an inexpensive platoon partner (with control) for Grissom in LF in the event Rosario has another bad season. He would also open up an extra roster spot to be able to carry a 3rd Catcher since he can handle all 3 OF positions - they could let BOTH Grossman and Heredia walk this winter.

I have no idea. Might be what they think about elder, muller, ynoa, vodnik, and Shuster. All these guys at AAA

And yet, they gave up on him this year. His control was horrible, and he lost velocity.
BTW, I love Anderson, and I've complained about using odorizzi over him. I just feel like Ian could be on his way out, and this is based on no sources, so I could be way off

That should tell you what they think of them.

Elder has 3 starts since august, and Ian has 2. Not sure that tells us anything, but it is the case

I mean, the Braves self-evidently are not going to DFA Anderson this off-season. That idea is ridiculous.
Is he perhaps more available as a trade piece this year than he was last year? That's certainly possible. But it's one thing to be willing to trade a player as part of a package for another asset and it's another to get rid of that player for nothing. They're not getting rid of Anderson for nothing.
