Acuna 0-3, 2 k

On the season, acuna has a 35% k rate (7 k in 20 PA). Can we promote him like this?

I truly think there's a possibility that Acuna underachieving is simply based on him not wanting to be there at all. The guy that I mentioned said that he was smiling and looked completely relaxed, just didn't look like he wanted to be there. You can make a good argument that if it's indeed this, that you can teach him a lesson for doing this by leaving him down for longer.

There's two other parts it could be, the monkey that's out there is Acuna actually did struggle for a little while in AA after a fantastic start before adjusting and killing it again (not to mention he started slow in real ball last year, too), and the other is based off of what I saw in the YT video. His swing is long, but it works unless he gets overly aggressive.

Tbh, if the Braves decide to bring him up anyway soon (and I don't think doing it in Chicago with the forecast will be a good idea), unless it's the "the league adjusted to him and he needs to adjust back", it'll probably be fine. It's just that in which it makes me wonder.

This is why fans don't handle roster decisions.

I love the implication that you're more than a fan.

Acuna is much like kris Bryant in how he was sent down at the end of ST with the expectation he'd be right back. Bryant slashed .321/.364/.679 to prove he was ready. Currently, acuna is .105/.190/.158.

I just know roster decisions shouldn't be based on a couple of games. If he had started with the big club and didn't hit in a few games would you send him down because he 'wasnt ready'? Acuna has more than proved he is ready to be in Atlanta and should be once we have gained that extra year of control.
