MINORS FINAL; 4/26 WEDNESDAY: Tough Act to Follow

Ventura is a fun prospect. dude is getting on base and then turning it into doubles and triples with stolen bases. Now at 11 after 2 more today.

time to watch the G-Braves.

Another hit and run for Ozzie! His average is up to .289.

I know he's been up and down, with an overall AAA average around .256, but the kid doesn't have much more to prove. If he can hover between .280-.300 for a month or so more, he needs to be called up.

To play SS?

Nothing wrong with what Phillips is doing.

Funny, Mel Rojas is taco bell K man.. so the crowd gets excited when he gets a strike on him hoping to get a free taco.. Rojas is 1-1 with 2 rbi (sac fly)..

G-Braves offense has been good of late.. pretty sure Howard is protecting them all. I don't want him to be called up because I don't think he can protect them from ATL and the big club already has KEMvP

Is Pache hurt? This is the second day in a row he's been out of the lineup

How many times have people posted this (or something similar) already this year? The young guys will sit 20-30 times during the season, starters will be pulled due to workloads; it's nothing new or unusual.

to be fair.. that was a AAA double. He hit it hard, but that should have been caught by a LF of KEMvP status or greater..

This is how players consistently get a 350+ BABIP in the minors. Albies had a sub 5% BB rate and 20+% K rate entering today. Things to keep in mind.

Man... I'm sorry for asking a question on a baseball discussion forum after a guy missed 2 games in a row... you sure are salty this year Rico. And no one had asked the question yet, but thanks for that

yep.. I am watching/listening to a ton of minor league ball this year and a couple of things I notice immediately. Defenses are just not MLB quality. Umps are inconsistent and catchers miss 3rd strikes a ton. Good grief, they have to throw out the batter more than I think I have ever seen in the MLB combined. every game there is at least 4 -- "and the catcher has to throw to first to complete the K"..

One thing on Ozzie.. he is very aggressive early in counts. likes to attack the first two pitches. maybe he has always been that way, maybe he is just adjusting to AAA pitchers attacking his patients last year.

And it has been asked when players were actually hurt, too. No need to get on people for asking a question to see if anyone else has information.

The Braves will undoubtedly call him up and start his clock to help guide this Braves team to another 70 win season.

Who cares about controlling that extremely valuable age 27 season? Certainly not The Genius!! Derp!!
