MINORS FINAL FRIDAY 4/21 ... Rome wins in 18 innings!

Should be a good pitching day...4 of the best pitching prospects (SSS so far)

Albers, 2G, 1.42ERA, 4/9 BB/K rate

Soroka, 2 Games, .77ERA, 0/14 BB/K

Gohara, 3G, 1.93ERA, 3/13 BB/K

Lawlor, 2G (only 6 IP), 0.00ERA, 3/11 BB/K

In all seriousness Enscheff is correct in terms of the financial aspect of calling him up 6 weeks early. In player salary it will cost the Braves about 10-15 million if he ends up being the player we want him to be in the best case scenario.

But it clearly is, otherwise Albies would be up. You can't tell everyone publicly that you are purposely keeping your minor league players down so that you don't have to pay them as much. The Cubs didn't admit that with Kris Bryant, in fact Epstein also said it wasn't a business decision to keep him down longer.

Don't be obtuse just to try to prove a point.

I wouldn't call up Albies if there wasn't any service time issues.

He's where he needs to be until the Braves have an opening in the starting lineup.

Right...

Has anybody ever disputed that?

the money lost if there actually ends up being money lost won't matter if swanson ends up being worth the extension in the first place.
nowhere in this analysis is the effect on sales he might have. or will have if he's good enough to get an extension. all of this analysis is completely short sighted in every single possible way, most especially by completely disregarding certain variables that would in fact defend calling up dansby last year.

Demeritte was in the lineup that was announced a few hours ago, but he wasn't in it when the game started. Hope nothing happened.
