MINORS FINAL FRIDAY 4/21 ... Rome wins in 18 innings!

I am mildly surprised no one pointed out Maddux and Glavine. I guess people have finally learned that those two are anomalies and that it's asinine to compare any prospects to them.

I mean, every HOF pitcher is an anomaly by definition.

In fact, basically all good MLB pitchers are anomalies.

There are plenty of good MLB starters who average 90-92 on their fb, and a few great ones. Velo is good, but it's not the whole story.

Mmmm...that's not very reasonable. Enscheff is so focused on stats and numbers that he knows pitchers don't find success if their fastball sits at 91...because, you know, some vague anecdotal memories of his tell him so.

Remember all those pitchers with underwhelming stuff that we have seen roll through Atlanta, and you guys said all the same **** about them? Where are they all now?

Maybe Soroka gains a few ticks and can be an impact starter. It is possible since he is so young. However, guys sitting at 90-91 and relying on control in the minors almost always transition poorly to MLB. Every pitcher listed that succeeds with that kind of stuff can be countered with 10 guys that didn't.

If you are rooting for Soroka to be a #4 starter, then sweet, but that's not what most folks are hoping for.

Anyways, feel free to have the same discussion you guys always do about a pitcher with underwhelming stuff. You never learn. You should just copy/paste the same posts you used on all the others guys since you say exactly the same thing year after year.

First, list the guys you're talking about. Who are all the guys with underwhelming velocity everyone went crazy over?

Second, Soroka doesn't sit 90-91 on a consistent basis, but I see you've found the new thing to latch onto to try to kill the Braves over. You're quite unpredictable.

And C, you are the worst.

Seems like everyone has soroka at a 60 fb. That's where most ppl grade allard, Anderson etc.

He's been in the mid 90s. He pitches mostly in the low 90s. But he's supposed to have movement and command and control with it.

Plus if we want to fight about 90-92 to 92-95 he's 19 and prob 25 pounds less than he'll be in MLB
