Fried went 4 and two thirds hitless innings last night. Either one is an option for Tuesday against the Marlins.

We actually have good starting pitching depth. I don't think it is going to be a priority at the deadline. Allard has been pitching well. So have Sims and Wisler. Not that I'm advocating those guys for the rotation but it is good to have some AAA starting pitchers doing well in case one of them needs to come in for a spot start. Later this year, Soroka and McCarthy are likely to be available as well. I see starting pitching as an area where our depth is very good, which should allow us to ride out any injuries/loss of form that might occur with the group currently in the major league rotation.

What do you see as the priorities for Braves to address at the deadline? ; )

The Alex Jackson promotion is interesting. Making room for lower level promotions or new scenery type move?

Kinda has the feeling of getting him out of Mississippi and into an easier park to hit in to me. He's handled several of the guys currently at Gwinnett over the last couple years (Touki, Allard, Fried, Parsons), so he should be familiar enough with them to make the defensive adjustments less than overwhelming.

Of course, they've likely seen enough of Contreras at this point to start opening holes ahead of him, and Cumberland's likely ready for a promotion as well.

Sure I could see a new guy being brought in for the playoffs. Its not like there is a trade deadline with managers.

This is sarcasm I assume. They’re not replacing Snit at the start of the playoffs. Should there be an appearance
