MINORS FINAL THURSDAY 7/19/18 ... Wilson head Miss. shutout

Of all of the international talent we lost in the scandal, it appears Yunior Severino is going to hurt the most. He's only in rookie ball for the Twins, but has got great reviews from scouts and rising on prospect rankings.

The Braves getting hit so hard still really annoys me. Teams have been caught doing the same stuff multiple times and generally all that happens is a scout gets fired and the team gets a slap on the wrist. From everything I read, pretty much every team in baseball was doing the exact same things as the Braves were.

It's like if a group of 30 people were all jaywalking at the same time in front of a cop and the cop got mad, singled one out, and shot him in the head. It's a complete overreaction.

Bryse Wilson has a .342 BABIP in Double A, too. FIP is 2.88, xFIP is 3.40.

His ground ball rate is down in Double A, but I wonder if that's because of the Braves suggesting he ditch the two seamer.

Does no one on the interwebs have a scouting report of his stuff? He's been bonkers in AA since the rough start. I want to know if he's doing it at 88 MPH tho.

Wilson has never been a soft tosser. Since Rome he's typically day at 92-94 and can bring it up in short stints. Good to above average curve/sleeve or whatever you call it. The reliever talk had always been about durability concerns although he hasn't had any issues. He's always been underrated.

And that was his two seamer, I'd think.

that's right, i remember now that he's a hard thrower. i thought it was lack of secondary stuff, too.

He was the one I was most bummed about from the beginning. Serious potential.

He was THE one I was highest on. I can't play the revisionist game though. I had high hopes for Maitan. (Until he ate Gilbert Grape).

Him too?

This guy has been missing since last fall.

th

Maitan was also seen last running from milb park to milb park with the Hamburgler and Capt Crunch, so seedy company indeed.
