One thing I have noticed in looking at the rosters and it all makes sense when one thinks of the disruption caused by the pandemic, which caused the cancellation of last year's minor league season. The truncated draft of 2020 and the elimination of short-season non-complex rookie leagues (Appalachian, Pioneer, New York-Pennsylvania) is going to force some of the late-round draftees from 2019 onto Low-A (and some High-A) rosters. This is going to force a lot of 18- and 19-year-old players to play against opponents 4 or 5 years older than they are in the lower reaches of the minor leagues. That usually doesn't happen until Double-A ball.

As this relates to Michael Harris, he's three years younger than the average player in his High-A league. I don't care how good a player is, experience matters (at least coming out of the chute) and that might contribute to him not flying out of the gate from the get-go. He'll be fine.

If anyone thinks Harris has been disappointing early in 2021, don’t look up what Waters has done.

It’s amusing that people think Waters is ready to contribute in any way to the MLB team though.

I don’t think it’s a matter of people thinking Waters is ready I think it’s more people feeling desperate and like he can’t be any worse than what we have up here. I mean right now people are excited for Ender to return.

I don't know if I'm excited about Ender's return, but I believe we'll see an uptick in good ABs when he returns. Pache just isn't ready. The cancellation of the minor league season in 2020 didn't give a lot of guys the opportunity to sand down some rough edges.

See this is what you do all the time... twist things around. Hudson asked how Harris has been to which I said "not that good so far". In your world this is labeling Harris as a disappointment.

But he has been good... just not amazing

Now let me say, I have absolutely zero concerns about Michael Harris. I think he is gonna destroy A+, and he'll be in Mississippi in no time.
