Two pitching outings of interest Monday night.
In Gwinnett, game one of the DH saw Cody Martin work five innings and allowed one hit. Unfortunately, it was a two-run homer by Eric Thames. Norfolk had only one other hit in the game, which was also a two-run homer.
Martin's ERA remains below 3.00 in defeat.
Down in the Gulf Coast League, Sean Gilmartin logged another impressive rehab outing: four innings, one hit, no walks and six strikeouts. So strong, it didn't matter than the hash-slingers the Braves sent out after him allowed four home runs and nine total runs over the last five innings.
Gilmartin is ready to return to the Gwinnett rotation. Martin is ready for who knows what?
