Missing plane

Surprised there's no thread on this strange story (Granted I only looked at the first three threads on this page). So now it appears likely that the plane flew for a while with its transponder turned off. Could it have been hijacked?

I've really followed it up until today. I think the odds are low, but certainly a possibility. It would be crazy if it landed somewhere, but there would likely be some type of demand.

How do you lose a plane

Planes actually aren't that big relative to something like a large sea or a jungle. You turn the transponder off or it is destroyed and the only thing that can pick it up is primary radar from military sources apparently.

I know its hard to believe anything right now but didn't the Malaysian authorities release that the two were not linked to any "known" terrorist organization?

I suppose that doesn't preclude them because this smells a lot like a hijacking.

If it disintergrated wouldn't you find bits and pieces of it? If it were hijacked I imagine someone would had seen it or there'd be a ransom call by now.

I think the FBI/CIA even said they wreen't linked to terrorism. BOth were just trying to immigrate somewhere else than stay in Iran.

A lot of it likely would have sunk to the bottom of the sea. But you think they would have found something by now had it blown up where the transponder failed.
