My personal favorites for our pick at 22

SS Daniel Pierce - Probably gone before we pick but he is my pipe dream

SS Marek Houston - you all know how I feel about college players but we are in a position where I think its acceptable

OF Sean Gamble - No set position from what I have read but I like his bat.

Thats my big 3 hopefulls. Aloy doesnt excite me. Not a fan of infielders who arent good defenders at a young age. Makes me question if he will be a LF/DH in a few years.

The Braves are pretty craft with their spending normally, but I did hear Kiley and Gaurav both say the team is going to look hard at a position player in the first

Or he could move to second when he's ready in a year or so and that'll fit with Albies contract being up. Pierce is my first choice but I doubt he's there.

Antonio Jimenez, SS from UCF is someone I am very high on, regardless where we might pick him. Defensively, he's very good and the arm is elite, having been clocked at 100mph from SS. And he's put up some impressive exit velocities this year, maxing out at over 115 mph.

I like players like this. I know absolutely nothing about draft picks.. but I generally like players who are naturally gifted like this.. you can teach a lot of things in baseball.. but running fast, hitting the ball hard and throwing hard are talents that you are just born with for the most part.

Hes ranked 167 on pipeline so we should be able to get him in 3rd round. Here's the write up on him.

A strong right-handed hitter, Jimenez offers an intriguing collection of tools at a premium position. His swing works particularly well on pitches middle-in, and he’ll show off at least above-average raw power to his pull side, getting to it consistently in games this year. He can go the other way at times, but without as much impact. He absolutely crushes fastballs but struggles with softer stuff, as he has a tendency to chase breaking balls out of the zone.

Jimenez’s standout defensive tool is his easily plus arm that works from anywhere on the infield. He has decent actions and a chance to stick at shortstop with an overall improved defensive game, though he can get a little too flashy at times. There isn’t a ton of track record with him, but teams that like the power potential from a middle infielder could buy in, with a move to second or third always a possibility.
