MLB Draft Thread

Gonna reserve judgement, but the Braves drafts lately have been...meh. They do it their way and that's cool. In this case...there was some premium talent available my feeble brain thought was considered to be better choices. Who knows..underslot? More money for The Battery projects. Grrr

The pundits have loved the last two first rounders from Atlanta.

For whatever that’s worth. Waldrep was considered a monster steal that far back

The Orioles have had a good night. That's why I hope we get a top 5 pick next year and Baldwin can win ROY so we can put a lot of high end talent back in the system. But the more I I watch of Tate Southisene the more I like. He's super athletic.

I ain’t no expert or nothin’, but it seems to me like you could’ve gotten a little better than a 50 grade prospect at 22.

Not like it means that much considering he’s so young, of course. Hopefully he grows into a 60+.

That's the thing about MLB vs other drafts. These guys have to develop and most of em are a crap shoot. I thought Kyle Wright was a can't miss and we see what happened. If Tate had played another month he would have been a mid first rounder. Hopefully our string of bad 1st rd picks ends with him. At least we don't go pitcher for once.

Where we have picked in the past - there’s very little difference between the 2/3rd rounders and our first… and a LOAD of variables included in all.
