So far for Braves. Acuna's probably all that's left but 8 in top 100 is impressive.

97- Austin Riley.
83- Max Fried.
53- Kolby Allard.
51- Ian Anderson.
49- Luiz Gohara.
31- Mike Soroka.
30- Kyle Wright.
2- Ronald Acuna.

I think that list is better than BA's top 100 for the Braves. Only minor issue would be Gohara being a tad low.

We have the 8 pick so that’ll be a top 100 prospect I’m sure. AA needs to focus on getting us a high comp pick.

Hopefully a hitter with that #8 guy

Looking at the prospect list we were just 1 pick away from Senzel and he’s ranked 7th overall, and while I love Wright, Royce Lewis who most thought would be there at 5 is ranked at 20. Our farm would look a lot better with those 2 guys.

Agree on Senzel, but Wright would have been my number 1 pick regardless of who was on the board. I’d have taken Gore over Lewis as well.

Wilson will likely be there around mid season I’d think?

I think there is a tendency to look at how many guys each team has and if people are on the bubbLe the evaluators will say the braves have 8 alreadg. They don't need more guys at the end of the list.

I just went back and looked at Fangraph's top Braves prospects list from Dan Farnsworth in 2015, and it is still just as hilariously bad as it was back then. I can't believe that someone got paid to say that John Gant was a 60 FV prospect and Ryan Weber was a 55 hahaha

Idk. Why is Moniak over Pache? And guys like Pint/Groome/Baz over Wentz?

Because the first three have TOR stuff?

I'm high on Wentz, but let's not kid ourselves - Pint and Groome were in the conversation to go #1 when they were drafted, and Baz was widely credited with the best stuff for a high school arm in his class (and touches 98 now with plenty of room to add).

Wentz has a chance to be very good, but his ceiling just isn't what those three could be.

Wait a second - I thought FanGraphs was the "be-all, end-all" source for prospects...well, them and Keith Law.
