If the allegations are true, then Altuve and Bregman are looking at long suspensions. This is going to get worse before it gets better

If this turns out to be true, how do you suspend them? Would they be given a punishment equal to someone who tested positive for steroids, or would you do season long bans. Would they forfeit any awards given to them for the 2019 season?

By the way, remember when Trevor Bauer came out last year and suggested the Astros were cheating? He go a lot of backlash for it. Welp...

The thing is, he was specifically referring to their pitching staff. I wonder if this scandal goes deeper than just stealing pitch signs.

Looks like we only got docked a 3rd round pick for the Waters debacle, so he may not have factored into it much. OTOH, they could have considered it yet another example of gross misconduct in a pattern of gross misconduct to justify harsher punishments

I think it's more likely that they just didn't find enough evidence to hold up to the appeals players would get. The players union makes it much harder to punish players than managers or front office personnel. MLB will need a lot more evidence of specific wrongdoings to punish a player.

If more comes out, baseball can always reopen the investigation.

Pretty good point. Notice how every pitcher goes there and reclaims that prime form? I'm sure some is advanced stats, but it can't be THAT good for everyone.
