MLB suspends ST and likely beginning of season, per Passan

After a conference call among owners this afternoon, Major League Baseball is expected to suspend spring training. The league likely will delay the beginning of the regular season as well. At this point, it's a formality that ownership-level sources expect to happen.
 
Duke University just pulled out of all athletic events. The AD said they won't participate in the NCAA Tourney if it's held in any capacity.

This is pretty incredible and clearly not in the best way.

This is what I was expecting with the Final Four. Schools are going to start prohibiting their student athletes from going to tournaments even if they are held, rendering the tournament useless.

at this point there's no way the tourney is going to be held.

Nevermind that, March Madness alone is a 10 billion dollar revenue for Vegas. They are gonna get hit really hard by all of these sports cancelling their events.
 
Well ****. The regular season is all we have as Braves fans. Heres my idea. Suspend the season. When this blows over we determine the world series winner by a foot race between general managers. I know it makes no sense but it will be just about as effective at determining the best team as the playoffs are
