Why do rehab Riley at GCL? Gwinnett sucks... just use him there

Because you're hoping against hope that Rio gets on a hot streak playing every day and you can use him as part of a deal - maybe for a pen arm.

If they decided to play Camargo every day at the start of 2019 (or sign a free-agent) and take their time with Riley, you're running out of uses for Ruiz - if Encarnacion could cut his Ks down a little, it wouldn't be out of the question to see him begin 2019 in Mississippi and have Alexander start with the FireFrogs.

No team is going to be fooled by a hot streak from Ruiz. They already know what he is by now.

The AAA Home Run Derby goes on tonight. One of the participants: Class AAA home run leader Joey Meneses. As in, former Brave turned free agent Joey Meneses. Has 15 going into this (not many, considering). Also hitting .300.

Surely some of these pitchers are gonna be studs. Or maybe I should say hopefully. The kids are throwing up some big K numbers lately.

Outside of Drew Harrington (now in the White Sox chain), the pitchers in our 2016 draft class are doing well. Here's hoping for good health and further development.
