MONDAY MINORS THREAD 9/4: And so it ends ...

Or...last year it was fun when Rome won. This year it matters just as much as last year, which was none. Sometimes sports are allowed to be fun.

So you're telling me there weren't a dozen posts where folks claimed it was huge that they won, they should be kept together as they moved up, would win in Atlanta together because they learned how to win, and were compared to the other great minor league team of 20 years ago?

Maybe I'm wrong but I think you are overstating the **** out of this. Perhaps I stopped posting for a while but it isn't ringing any bells.

I honestly would be pretty surprised if there were more than 2 posts like this. If so, I stand corrected. But I don't think hardly anyone was claiming that because Rome won the championship last year, it meant that great things were in store for Atlanta down the line.

There were a smattering of posts like that, but it wasn't anything more than "the future is bright" type of posts, which was and still is true.
