More defined topical posts?!

One of the things I hated most about Scout was that they wanted everything merged into one post. Start a new thread and you were basically yelled at for it. That's the place he's running back to?

At this point, I don't think Patio would mind if someone else other than him started a thread. That way he can show his superiors there's tons of board traffic.

Back to Scout.

You could always start a thread yourself if you feel a player, topic, et cetera is under-served by the threads already active. I don't think Fearless Leader is destroying new threads or imperiling free discourse: that's why we pay him the big bucks.

Correct. If you want a thread, start one. He was just explaining why it hasn't happeed. Its the offseason and they're not giving us mush to talk/complain about.

Just don't get pissy when your "Johnny Venters agrees to terms" thread falls off the first page in a second or two. Even better start a "Braves interested in Greg Dobbs" thread and sit back and watch humor commence.

It's below zero in Minnesota today. I would love a tropical post.

Mr. Lockhart, I think you are running the board just fine. Sometimes have to do some scrolling and I wish the post quote thread would allow posting of more than the single post being quoted and include the entire back-and-forth on a topic within a thread (I hate backward scrolling through topics), but that's about the only thing I would mentioned. I just see us as one happy little band of brothers on St. Crispin's Day.

One thing you can do to follow a quote exchange is click the double arrow arrow icon which looks like a fast forward button in the quote. It will directly go to the quoted post and you can keep going back.

Whenever I go on, I click wherever I need to that brings me right to where I last left off. It's awesome actually.

I think I understand what he's getting at. I don't like everything being merged into one post either. I like different topics being posted daily, most of the time those merged threads turn into back and forth bickering more than anything and if you aren't involved you don't feel like reading through all of it to find the relevant posts.

That being said I don't feel like SAV is dictating what can and can't be posted nor do I feel this is an issue to leave the board for. If you started a new thread and it was deleted or merged into one of the bigger threads I'd have more of an issue.

That's the entire point.

Nobody, me or my mods have merged or deleted any threads.

Nobody has made any threads.

Would I care if somebody made a Braves interested in Greg Dobbs thread? Yeah because it's Greg Dobbs not David Price, but I wouldn't delete it.

No one else here whether staff or regular poster has felt the need to post a new thread because frankly our FO isn't giving us any good reasons too. That's why the Braves Offseason about to get Busier per DOB thread has become the universal offseason thread until something big is rumored or announced.
