BTW the movie I expect to just hit this year aside from the obvious ones is Digger.
Inarritu directing for the first hollywood film since Revenant but with the team from Birdman, top billing acting is insanely good with Cruise as the lead, supported by Sandra Huller, Jesse Plemons, John Goodman and Riz Ahmed. Strong cast and crew
Just some films while we're talking about it I think I'm going to like and hope I do.
Odyssey - You know I'm a nolan fanboy.
Dune - First 2 were great and I'm also a Denis fanboy.
The Adventures of Cliff Booth - I wasn't originally stoked about it when I heard it, as I thought it was just onna be lip service, but then I ready Fincher is doing it with his full crew so it's gonna be good.
Behemoth! - Not sold fully on it yet, but it's Gilroy's return to film.
Wild Horse Nine - I'm intrigued, the director is great, the cast is great, the premise is interesting. But I mean I was sold on Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich lead black comedy.
Disclosure Day - Again, stacked cast, Spielberg returning to his sci-fi drama routes, looks really fun and good.
Spiderman and Avengers - They'll be fun popcorn films.
Mandalorian and Grogu - Again worst case scenario fun popcorn.
Mortal Kombat II - I enjoyed the first one, then you add Karl Urban. I'm sold
Supergirl - Not quite as excited as I was for Superman, but it should be a good popcorn film.
Jackass: Best and Last - It's not gonna be quality cinema, but every Jackass film is funny, so this still will be funny.
Streetfighter - Same idea as mortal kombat, I'm here for it. It's leaning into the camp. If it tells a decent story, it will rock.
Godzilla Minus Zero - If it's as good as Minus One it will be good.
I'm hoping for a strong film year with a healthy mix of high quality films, blockbusters, and fun films.
