Movie Thread

Hunger Games, Peanuts Movie, Good Dinosaur (Pixar), Hateful 8 (Tarantino), The Revenant, Spectre, and of course Star Wars in the upcoming few months.

This is gonna be fantastic or overhyped. I don't think the film can be bad. I think it's impossible. But given the pure star power in it, there's the fear it could become overhyped and if it's only a good or very good movie people will be disappointed. I point to TDKR. It's a fantastic movie. Tom Hardy was great, Anne Hathaway was great, Michael Caine was great, Gary Oldman was great, Bale was great, everyone rocked in the film. But people way overhyped themselves for it assuming that it would be way better than the Dark Knight, when it wasn't because even with the great new performances, Ledger as the Joker was really otherworldly.
 
Don't get the Martian love, utterly predictable, boring and dragged on for what felt like 4 hours. Yes, it looks great and Damon does a solid job but if you asked me who made that movie, I would've bet my bank account that it was a Disney movie.

I can't up here.Gonna have to do the old wait in line. I'm going home to NJ for Christmas so I'll be going to see it in IMAX 3D at home.

I'd like to do the movie marathon but I do have all the blu rays. Plus that's a lot of time. Lol
 
The Starwars marathons are starting at like 3 AM. Also presale tickets today set a single day record at fandango. Selling 8 times as much as the previous record holder which was The Hunger Games.

Just like all of his movies thus far. it does a lot of things really right, and a lot of things really wrong making it an overall mediocre experience.

I hope FA isn't just a rehash of ESB, just like ID was just a rehash of Wrath of Khan. And Billy Dee Williams better not show up from the future to give Finn advice.

He will because he is Finn's dad. He hooked up with Leia. Also explains why Han and Leia aren't together.
 
4chan I guess apparently started the racist trolling of Star Wars, getting white racists to denounce Star Wars for continuing white genocide and giving a black guy one of the lead roles.

Star Wars has had tons of black guys. Vader, Lando, Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jar Jar.
