My Problem With National Sports Media

Looking on ESPN front page and headlines are in order :

1) overage-overrated NY player

2) overrated player

3) drug ban related - decent player

4) human interest

5) over rated LA player

6) over aged NY player

7) oft injured crybaby LA player

8) team that has won 10th in a row for second time time that holds 12.5 game lead (over ESPN darling)

9-12) other newsworthy results from Sunday

oh, I forgot to mention Braves strike out too much and that wont work in playoffs. (and other such lazy nonsense)

I'll never understand why it matters to anyone what the national sports media says about our team. The average poster around here knows so much more about the Braves than the good people at ESPN. Why should we care whether they spend all their time covering the Yankees, Dodgers and Gnats.
