I do think the scenarios are different enough, between Donaldson and Ozuna—thanks to age / injury history / emergent NL DH near-certainty—that four years for Ozuna should be given more seriously thought than it was with Donaldson (though obviously three, maybe with an option, is still preferable).

I know its still a small sample size... but Ronald has a 16%+ walk rate so far this year. If that's even a little bit real, that's fantastic.

Riley definitely looks like a different player. He works at bats now. He may still only be looking for one pitch, but he's doing a much better job of working the count until he can get that one pitch he's looking for.

Encheff has also noted that he's still young, and moreover has made big improvements in the past. I'm nowhere near "thethe true believer" territory yet, but it will be interesting to continue to track his contact rates over the remainder of the season.

JD was 34, there was no DH. Ozuna is 29, there should be a DH. We have alot of money off the books. If the money per year is reasonable, gotta pay him. Not sure who could be the next 1 year deal if AA decides to play it safe again though.

Money is rarely reasonable in FA. If Ozuna keeps this up he will be asking for north of 200 million.
