Nats @ Braves - Doubleheader 9/4. Game 2

I don't normally savage Snit for his decision-making, but ... this is a really bad day for him.

I won't kill him for burning some of our better relievers in game-one, given the recent memory of games like last Sunday's. But bringing Jackson in early with runners on; then bringing LHP Smith in to face their best non-Soto hitter, who is right-handed; then deciding Weigel should finally make his first appearance, in the top of the decisive, potentially-final inning of a one-run game ...

A blunderful sequence, to say the least.

... and now we're getting Culberson ...

This is absurd. The Braves have pitchers and they’re only down 3. I mean, what the hell is wrong with this man?

You know AA loves and hates the fact this team can win in spite of the 4th stooge managing it.

I'm not impressed with Weigel. Faced 7 batters, threw 36 pitches, 19 for strikes, gave up 2 hits, 3 BBs, 0 Ks, and 2 runs in .2 IP. His ERA is 27.00

What you guys don't understand about managing, some games don't really matter, like this one.

Snit gave a few pitchers some rest. A loss here after 5 wins in a row is fine.
