Yes. Unless you think the Clippers, Portland, or Golden State is? I don't. Houston beats those guys in a 7 game series.

I just don't see why Houston is so good. THey rely so much on the 3 and we saw what happens when you do that last night.

Harden is a great player no doubt but Howard is overrated. Barkley said it best last night. He said Howard is really good but not great. Basically he hasn't gotten better for the last 4-5 years. I think Portland and Golden State would beat them in a seven game series.

Clippers are always overrated and soft. I never consider them a real threat.

Portland is a team I don't believe in, but maybe they are that good. Lillard and LA is a tough combination.

Golden State can't play defense. They won't do **** in the playoffs.

Houston is clearly top 4 in the West.

You realize Golden State has been a good defensive team all year right? Iguidola and Mark Jackson have changed the mindset of that team completetly.

Once they realize they need to go small with Bogut and center they will be even better.

Portland is really good because they have one of the few big men int he league that can score inside and shoot the 18 footer. Lillard is a tough to deal with but a little overrated right now. They just have shooting all over the place.

GS has been better but that means they have to keep Iggy in the lineup, which distorts everything they want to do on offense. Mark Jackson is one of the worst coaches in the NBA so do you really want to trust him in the playoffs?

Portland is good, but they rely way too much on long 2 point jumpers and teams in the playoffs may be able to take advantage of that.

WHy is Jackson a bad coach?

I'm not saying that Portland is a real threat because as long as Westbrook is healthy nobody but Miami can beat them in a seven game series. But, if Westbrook is not healthy which is a possiblity then the West is wide open. I just don't think Houston is ready to make that leap. Maybe if Beverly comes back playing well they are better because Lin is horrendous. Amazing he got paid based on two weeks of good play.

So are the Rockets still a top 4 team in the West guys?

They are 1.5 games back of 4th, currently in 5th.....are you being serious? The Rockets have as much talent as anyone in the NBA, if they play D in the playoffs no one will want to play them.

If they play D? They don't play D. They just want to chuck threes all day and throw it inside to a flawed post player. They are a tailor made regular season team. That crap won't work in the playoffs. Depending on the matchup they might win a round but they will be bounced in round 2.

Teams aren't going to play D every night in the reg season.....or even close to it.

They have the best defensive center in the league....plus Asik who hasn't played all year. Once you realize the postseason is completely different than the reg season you'll be fine. It will be more half court, which will help the Rockets out a ton, especially with Dwight in the middle.

But hey, keep thinking a team that can drop 125 every night with the best defensive center in the game, isn't going to be a factor come playoff time.

A team that has never shown they are willing to play defense is going to play defense come playoff time. Sure, you believe that. Their halfcourt offense is horrible. THey only score in transition and when their threes are falling. Thunder showed last night that if you just close hard on the three point line the Rockets are not a good offensive team.

They can't beat the Thunder without Westbrook. How are they going to come close when Westbrook is back assuming health?

Ok dude, keep thinking the reg season means anything in the NBA. The Knicks are 5-1 vs the Heat in the reg season over the last 2 years.....how'd they do in the playoffs?

LOL, comparing the effort a 2 time champ to the Rockets. GOOD ONE!

Nice little piece from an ESPN article:

Durant’s defensive improvement that started in earnest two seasons ago continues its upward trajectory. The light bulb turned on a while back when he realized that while his physical strength is no longer a liability, his length and awareness will always carry him as a defender. Synergy has him ranked third as a pick-and-roll defender among players who’ve guarded more than 50 plays. Against isolation? No. 1, thank you.

Basically matches the eye test. Durant has become a fantastic defensive player. Last night he had a killer postgame quotation: "There's always another level I can go to"
