NBA Thread

Its easy to be a GM when you have Kevin Durant. That team would go nowhere without him.

Presti is a good GM, but the way you overhype him is crazy.

Stop bringing up insane depth and mentioning guys like Fisher, Adams, Thabo, etc. Just please make it stop

Its insane that you don't consider those guys great depth.

It was one game but the Thunder smacked up Boston without KD. Sure, Boston stinks but its still beating another NBA team by 20.

Its insane that every player on the Thunder is either the best at something or INSANE DEPTH, BRO!

Not everyone. Just some people.

How you don't recognize just how deep this team is is beyond me.

If RW was healthy all year the Thunder might have only lost 12 games.

Riley, Buford, Olshey, Morey, Ujiri would be my top 5, in no order.

Wow, now he isn't even a top 5 GM. I guess he doesn't get any credit for the Harden deal, drafting Ibaka/Jackson, and consistently filling the roster with talented young players while dealing with ownership that won't go over the cap. OK.

Well the Harden deal was a bad one, so yeah, he gets "credit" for that.

Oh was it a bad one? He isn't better than KD/RW and Ibaka is a better fit.

Yeah, lets give max dollars to that guy.

Oh, they got a year of Kevin Martin and some promising young players.

What a horrible trade!!!!

At some point you'll open up your eyes that the Harden trade was not only the right move but it was a good deal.

You traded Harden and all you have left is Jeremy Lamb.....in what world is that "good"?

All we have left? Are you k8idding me? Adams was one of the picks. They used a second round in that deal to trade up and get Roberson and they still have antoher first round pick.

That is the definition of a good deal when you have all your salary locked up in 3 players (2 of which are better than Harden) and the other who is a perfect fit for the team.

Harden >>>>>>>>> Lamb and Adams

You can spin it however you want BUT Presti traded a top 5-10 player and all he got was 1 year of Kevin Martin and two bench guys. Presti is an above average GM but he isn't close to the best....take Portland drafting Oden over KD away and Presti is a no name.

Thats not how it works. You can't change reality.

Of course Harden is better than those two but you are not even considering cap situation. For the Thunder having Lamb/Adams/Roberson/future draft pick is better than Harden.

How does the team get filled if Harden was kept?

Presti is just above average? What about the Ibaka pick? Reggie Jackson. Identifying two players who already look like they will be starters in the Harden deal. Perry Jones looks like he could be a key rotational piece. Heck, even the little time that Roberson played he looked like a rotational player. You're so clueless with this. OKC keeps on wining more games each year and the talent pipeline is still flowing.

Reggie Jackson hasn't proved ****! Ibaka is a 12 and 8 guy who blocks shots....wtf he isn't Blake Griffin or Kevin Love.

Where is the trade that Presti made that he robbed someone or the under the radar signing that turned into a stud? Presti made his name by drafting in the top 5 and Portland drafting Oden. Suck his knob if you want BUT that's who he is.

I'd take the field too, odds in that favor.

OKC does have pretty sick depth though.

lol at Morey.

Harden isnt a #1, doesnt play defense, he's basically the same player he was in OKC.

Howard is good, but they need more than that, neither can carry a team to the Finals.

Morey cleaned house to get Howard, while keeping Lin, Asik, Harden, Parsons, Terrence Jones, Donta....if you can't see how he's done a better job than Presti then you're clueless.

Harden isnt close to top 5, let alone top 10.

One-dimensional players who dont play defense cant be, period.

Harden gets roasted on defense every night.

Harden isn't top 10 LULZ LULZ LULZ LULZ

Harden is a better defender than RW, btw....so RW can't be top 10 either.

Ibaka is a 12 and 8 guy? Have you not seen his development this year. Oh, he just blocks shots? You aren't watching because he has become an excellent low post defender and he is a top 5 rim protector. Those guys are worth their weight in gold in todays NBA.

Reggie Jackson is going to be a starting PG if he goes to another team. No, he isn't a stud but he was also drafted at the bottom of the first round. That was an excellent pick.

Presti made a great deal to get Thabo who has been a key player for this team for the last 4 years.

He also drafted RW/Harden when he could have drafted someone else.
