NBA Thread

LOL, I was reading a Wizards blog and ran across this:

"No team wants to become the Atlanta Hawks of the 2000s, making the playoffs every year but failing to pose a significant threat."

Must be true if it's in a blog.

Bonjour!

I just find it hilarious mocking a team that had had more success than your own. While is isn't the ideal scenario, it just doesn't compute logically.

It's my equivalent of being a Duke fan while never stepping foot in the state of North Caolina. Ammiright gf!?

Josh Smith - F - Pistons

A sign-and-trade deal involving Josh Smith and Isaiah Thomas "may be in the works," according to Grantland.com.

Smoove and Cousins would be fun to watch. Throw in Rudy Gay and the coaches are going to have nightmares.

Collison heading to Sacramento on a 3/15 million dollar deal or something. 5 million a season for Collison seems like a bargain.

Im mocking the Hawks as of today, that are worse than the Wizards and will be for some time.

As a Kings fan, I'm pretty happy about this one. He's essentially the same player as Isaiah Thomas, but much cheaper and isn't a revolving door on defense.

They are an interesting team to me. Although I hate the draft picks they have made the past 2 years, Cousins/Gay/Collison is a solid foundation in which to build off. I'm not a big fan of Gay, but he is a solid player and Boogie is great.

Me too. Cousins is just awesome to watch. McLemore has been a waste of space. Stauskas will probably be a decent Redick type player but he's not what we needed. I believe if we can get a good defending/shot blocking PF next to Cousins, we will be able to finally start knocking on the door of the 8th seed. Until then our defense will be trash and we'll stick to winning 28 games a season. I'm hoping Collison can come in and get 7ast a game as a starter with at least average defense. Isaiah Thomas' numbers looked good but he completely dominated the ball and played some of the worst PG defense I've ever seen. The guy is talented but he's more of a mini Jamal Crawford than a guy you want starting and running your team for 30+ min a game.

BTW I'd have given my left nut to be the Hawks the last 10 years over what my team has done. The Maloofs really sabotaged this team. The new owners/gm look to be trying really hard to improve the team through trades and free agency but they are as bad as the Maloofs at draft picks.
